10. The drifting

The purpose of seeds is to spread in some way, either carried by animals or by natural means such as wind or water. Plants need to propagate and grow beyond where they are; to reproduce, after all. But what happens if one of the seeds ends up where it shouldn’t?

One of my little seeds drifted and planted where it shouldn’t have been, very close to my left ovary instead of inside my uterus. It’s a dangerous condition; it can break me inside, literally. And the seed can’t really grow in there, either.

I feel lucky that I healed in the end and didn’t break, even though the painful fragments still reside in my mind and memories. Will my seeds ever grow?
